Looking to 2023 and Beyond: Logistics Technologies of the Future

 

As a new year begins what better time than to look to the future? Though the chaos these past few years in our industry has made things, well, difficult, we’re starting 2023 in an optimistic light. In particular, we want to shed this light on the incredible technologies that are being developed to make logistics and the supply chain more agile, responsive, transparent, and sustainable. 

So, what is being developed that will help us meet the needs of an increasingly globalized and interconnected world?

 

Autonomous vehicles

Self-driving trucks, ships, and planes could revolutionize the way goods are transported. They are able to operate around the clock without the need for breaks or shift changes making more deliveries in a given time period and increasing the overall efficiency of the delivery system.
