Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Coordinator to join our team. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for identifying, planning, executing, and successfully implementing projects across all departments within the organization with an emphasis of testing and implementing Cargowise Automated Solutions. This role demands strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects across various departments.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and oversee projects related to freight forwarding and customs brokerage, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency continuously
Create synergies between various departments
Write SOP’s for process improvement and implementation
Create customized reports for internal and external use.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, adjusting as necessary to meet targets and deadlines.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to ensure project objectives are met and actions remain in synergy.
Monitor project progress continuously, making adjustments and detailed reports on milestones and deliverables.
Test automated solutions in Cargowise for process improvements.
Foster strong relationships with clients and department managers in order to provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders, including executives, on project status, issues, and risks.
Lead and coordinate staff and resources to ensure milestones are met and quality standards are upheld.
Manage budgeting and forecasting, ensuring projects are completed within the approved budget. Source outside consultation if needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and project management tools.
Proficiency in SQL
Understanding of EDI/API and other integrations
Data Management: Ability to handle large datasets, perform data analysis and generate reports.
Exceptional leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of change management and performance evaluation processes.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and deadlines.
Preferred: Tableau skillset (data visualization)
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the logistics, freight forwarding industry, or customs brokerage.
Understanding of customs regulations and international shipping processes a plus.
CargoWise Software experience and PMP Certification preferred but not required.
